What a beautiful country and friendly people.

This is the end of our second trip to Costa Rica. We have had a wonderful experience and enjoyed many parties and laughs with our new friends over here both resident and travelers. The locals in Costa Rica (Ticos – men and Ticas – ladies) are such friendly people and we always find that their English is much better than our Spanish. There has been so much to do and see during the day, and of course the night-life………..

Usual times to let your hair down and have a good time. Tarzan and I tend to party a lot more than that! Do we follow the party or does the party follow us? That is the question. Whatever the answer is we definitely enjoy it.

After spending a great vacation in Jaco Beach, Costa Rica at the Copacabana Resort we decided to spend our last few days in their sister property, the Hotel Desire Resort in San Jose. We were sunbathing at the nude pool when suddenly, there was some commotion near the hotel. A baby squirrel had fallen off the roof of the hotel, and to make matters worse it had fallen on concrete. One of the female members of staff decided to try to nurse the baby squirrel and see if it would survive.

Wow, what can we say! Yes, 11pm at night and the resort security guard comes to tell us that there is a turtle on the beach laying her eggs. Would we like to come and watch……..let me think…….YES!!!!

So, Tarzan and I have been traveling around Central American for about six months, taking in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama. We are currently in Costa Rica and having a great time. This is by far the best negative edge swimming pool that we have had the pleasure to enjoy. What a view!

We’re in Costa Rica at the ‘Lifestyle’ Resort on the beach – it’s the Copacabana Desire Hotel in Jaco Beach Costa Rica … and having lots of fun – check out our picture at the Nude Pool on the premises!

Its hot and sunny, great for the all-over-tan! Only one week left on our six month trip before we fly to Miami, where we over night, before catching a two week transatlantic cruise to Europe. We love to cruise and try to get in at least one transatlantic every year, its not just for the OAPs, you know! There is five different ports on this trip (seven if you include the start and finish ports too), but we will put them in our timeline. Once we get home, we’ll have a week with family and friends before Tarzan gets off to Thailand, without me, to ‘find himself’!!!!!!!!
