What a beautiful country and friendly people.
This is the end of our second trip to Costa Rica. We have had a wonderful experience and enjoyed many parties and laughs with our new friends over here both resident and travelers. The locals in Costa Rica (Ticos – men and Ticas – ladies) are such friendly people and we always find that their English is much better than our Spanish. There has been so much to do and see during the day, and of course the night-life………..
Every morning we see a couple of wild scarlet macaws fly over head as we watch the many iguanas and squirrels running around marking their territory. A pair of resident yellow-naped parrots have made their nest in a tree on the edge of the beach. There are crocodiles in a river about twenty minutes away, and great deep-sea fishing in the area, although we haven’t got round to that yet. We didn’t get round to visiting Tortuga Island, so something to look forward to on our next visit, which I am sure will not be too far away. Something that we did about a week ago was plant our own coconut tree which we have been watering daily to give it a good chance of survival. We also painted our names on the coconut, so that we can identify it on our return (typical tourists…..LOL….).
