Oh what a night, and day as well. The event opened at 12 noon and partied well past midnight, as is custom in the Caribbean. The main act was ‘Fat Boy Slim’, who is also a Brit!

What a beautiful country and friendly people.

This is the end of our second trip to Costa Rica. We have had a wonderful experience and enjoyed many parties and laughs with our new friends over here both resident and travelers. The locals in Costa Rica (Ticos – men and Ticas – ladies) are such friendly people and we always find that their English is much better than our Spanish. There has been so much to do and see during the day, and of course the night-life………..

Usual times to let your hair down and have a good time. Tarzan and I tend to party a lot more than that! Do we follow the party or does the party follow us? That is the question. Whatever the answer is we definitely enjoy it.

Independence of the Seas

Once again Tarzan and I find ourselves on a cruise, this time across the Atlantic Ocean. We love the concept of cruising against long haul flying, if you have the time of course. These days there is usually not so much differential in the price either! We cruised from Southampton, England to Fort Lauderdale in the United States of America.

One of the great things about repeat cruising with Royal Caribbean is that you get to know the staff and they makes you feel special. On the Liberty of the Seas we have become friendly with many of them, as it was our third voyage on the ship.

Another stop on our cruise was the ancient city of Pompeii, unearthed from under the ash that covered the site for many years. The area was inhabited from as early as 6th century BC.

We are on another cruise! and loving it. The Liberty of the Seas is not the largest cruise ship in the world anymore, but it is certainly huge. This cruise took us around Europe with a few stops in Spain, France and Italy.

A Cure for Asthma?

You decide!

I, Tarzan, had Asthma since I was a small child and used inhalers at least six times a day, like a lot of people. That was until fourteen years ago when I was back-packing around China. Here is my story. I always carried a good supply of preventer and reliever inhalers with me when I was travelling, as I never knew where I could pick them up, and they are “Life savers”.

Four or five bunches, actually.

Coconuts and the Caribbean go hand in hand. In our front garden we have a medium-sized coconut tree that is producing a lot of coconuts this summer. So many that the gardener, Lynn, offered to cut some open for us so that we could try the lovely juice inside. Machete in hand, Lynn stated to chop at a green coconut. A bit scary, I thought, but she has probably been doing this for years.

Tarzan and I are a traveling, fun-loving couple and whilst here on Aruba we love to PARTY! One of our favourite nights is to go out on the Kukoo Kunuku Party Bus. What a great idea, a bus that picks you up and drops you off at the end of the night, no designated driver or taxi needed.
